Will Blog Content Build Traffic
This is one of the most difficult questions to answer since the art of blogging is one of constant content creation. The simple answer to the question will blogging bring traffic is no, but only by itself. Now if you add quality content with some basic internet marketing you will see your traffic jump dramatically making it possible for you to earn money online from the organic or social traffic. This is the key to online business especially when it comes to blogging. Even if new content does not bring in the traffic don’t think it is not worth it since if you write quality content the traffic you do get will be much more likely to subscribe and even on occasion share your content on the social networks of their choice. Search engines also look favorably on websites that have quality content especially if the articles or posts are in the hundreds or thousands.
One factor when it comes to traffic and content is if you did do some basic link building to your blog or website then Google will crawl every page you put on your blog or website. If the article title is not overly competitive then your post or article will rank well for the title. Usually you will only see very low amounts of traffic for these long tailed titles so to have the traffic equal or better your main keywords you will need a ton of articles and titles. This is why for success with blogging you will need to create a consistent writing schedule. This will allow you to create articles and posts consistently ever increasing the size of your presence and the amount of possible traffic from search engines. One tool I really like using when trying to find the best posts to create is Google Adwords Keyword Tool which you can find by going to Google and searching. This tool will tell you the amount of traffic any given term gets monthly letting you write articles you know have traffic.
The final reason I think content is great for traffic is internal search engine optimization. I have seen posts rank well in Google for major keyterms from only internal posts pointing towards them. This means if you write a post and link to it with other posts then it has the possibility of ranking well within Google and the other major search engines. To do this you will need to make sure when posting new articles or content to rank to other posts you have already written. Another important factor with internal search engine optimization is every post you create should rank to the main blog helping it rank better within the search engines. This is why a massive blog with few backlinks can rank well for competitive terms.
